Restoration & Conservation> St. Johns Cathedral, Limerick City
This project involved the removal and replacement of a significant section of the existing copper roof covering with a new copper roof covering fitted using the traditional hand formed batten roll system. This work was carried out without causing disturbance to the Cathedral's permanent dweller, a nesting Peregrine Falcon. Internal works included replacement of cement based plaster with traditional natural hydraulic lime based render and relocation of the ornate carved wood Bishops chair.
